Ok I have been having a little trouble over the past week with my Ford. I was driving around today and after driving 45 minutes the car slowly dies. There was a loss of power, the engine started revving lower, and as I pulled over to the side of the road it stalled. I was doing 45 to 50 miles per hour and in fifth gear and then it started lossing the power, switched to 4th didn't matter still lost power...

I tried starting the car up right afterwards, it would fire up but then stall. Waited five minutes, started up, ran for 5 seconds, then stalled. Waited 30 minutes, started up and was able to make it home (About 1 mile away).

I turned the key several times to hear the fuel pump and it sounds like it works, makes a whirl noise when put to on. Tried it three times.

Could this be the Fuel Pressure Regulator? Bad Puel Pump?

I do not know of any filter in the system... What can I do to get it checked out?

So has the fuel filter ever been changed? If not this should be done first then we can test things like fuel pressure and such. Let me know.

I was wondering where the fuel filter is? I was looking at some repair manuals but it doesn't seem to be anywhere that I can find it. I looked on Autozone's website and I think it is a part on the fuel pump....

No it isn't part of the pump Chrysler is the only one that does that. Now I have included a pic of the filter and it should be staped on the firewall just below the wiper motor.
