i am looking to buy a 96 ford escort, it doesn't run. i'm told is the coil pack. guy has the parts and will sell it for $300. where is the coil pack located and how hard is it to put on?

Souns like 1.9L engine

Follow the sparkplug wires from the sparkplug side to the other end you'll run into the coil pack assembly

disconnect plug wires and unbolt to replace coil pack. pic is below..
