1996 Ford Escort
After driving for about a minute or so, I went to apply the brakes and I noticed that the (!)(P) light had come on and i had little to no pressure on the brake pedal, and had very little braking abilities. When the car is turning over and i apply the brake pedal you can clearly hear air escaping. However when the car is switched off and the brake pedal is applied pressure is re-gained until the car is turned on again. After some light research I am starting to think this is a problem with my master cylinder. Is this diagnosis correct and is this an expensive fault?
