My escort wagon stalls often when idling in park, neutral or when I pull up to a stop light. This has been going on for a year. I recently had the ac fixed, and it doesn't stall if I have the Ac on, but does if the ac is off, same as it has before. It also loses power, even with accelerator pressed to the floor when going around turns, like on an on ramp to the highway. I've changed the IAC, fuel filter, and cleaned the maf sensor.
Any help is appreciated!!

ok, Fuel pressure reads about 38-40 with key on, then after it starts its down to about 32psi. When it cuts out, the pressure rises back to about 38ish.
Oh, and the car has a new IAC about 6 mo ago....

I think you need a new fuel pump. Pressure should be (KOEO) 64 to 85 PSI. (KOER) 31 to 38 PSI.

Hmmm, I just found out that the car got a new fuel pump about 2 yrs ago. Also, something else to ponder....The car always starts right back up on the first try after it stalls, and I noticed that the engine only bogs down when making right hand turns, but not left hand turns.......any thought or reasoning behind this? Thanks so much for all your input.

I've heard of that when the fuel is low in the tank.

It sounds like a pump issue to me. Keep in mind, when at an idle, the engine doesn't need as much fuel. However when you drive, there is a higher demand. If the pump is weak (and it looks that way), it may not be keeping up with the engine's need.
