1995 Ford Escort Clutch adjustment

My clutch seems to need adjusting. How do I go about this? My car in the morning does not want to go into gear easily. But once I warm it up, and get going, it seems to shift better. This morning when I started it up(I left it in 1st gear) I had my foot on the clutch, but it wanted to start rolling forward anyway.

Is it a clutch cable or a hydraulic clutch? If its a cable there will be an adjusting nut on the cable where it goes through the fire wall. It will be next to the master cylinder and brake booster, a little towards the fender. Loosen the nut until you have about 1 inch of free play in the pedal.

I believe it is hydraulic.

Im not exactly sure how to adjust that type. My brother has a book for that car, I will get it when he gets home and check on it. Might take a couple days but I will do it as soon as I can.

My bro cant find his book but the hydraulic type should not require adjusting. There should be a bleeder vavle on the slave cylinder and you can bleed it like you do brakes.
