Hi. I am having trouble with my cooling fan on my 95 ford escort. I know the fan itself works as I have had a switch to turn it off and on manually installed however, the switch broke and needs to be re-installed if I can't figure out how to repair it properly. I would like to sell the car eventually so I would rather not have a switch if I don't have to because that would probably decrease the value of the car. Its not really worth it to pay a mechanic to fix it before I sell it though because the car is only worth about $1500 in perfect working order.
Anyway I have already checked a couple of things. There is a fuse box under the hood near the air filter. In the box there is a 40 amp fuse which I have tried with multiple fuses which appeared to be good so I know that is not the problem. I also replaced the fan relay (or at least I think it was the fan relay, the big black thing that says "H270" in the same under the hood fuse box). I was wondering what else I could check to see if I can get the fan working again. Thanks.
