1994 Ford Escort 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

My vehicle is accelerating very slowly, even if I downshift to put the engine in a high rpm. Also, it jerks a lot while driving. Any ideas?

The clutch could be slipping if not check and test the throttle position sensor and mass airflow sensor to include a fuel pressure check.
