My car keeps overheating for some reason. It is fine at first, and when I am on the interstate it stays cool, when when I slow down, or come to a stoplight, it starts getting hot rapidly if it sits and idols. When I start moving again, it slowly cools down.

I tried changing the thermostat, but that didn't work. Someone said it might be a blown head gasket, but it looks fine from the outside.

Could it be the waterpump, or something else?

Hi there,

start with having the radiator provisionally cleaned and flow tested, and may sure that the cooling van is working.
