I just replaced the rotors & pads on this car and there's a horrific grinding noise when the wheels turn. So its just been pulled forward & back again. A metal clip on the pads touches the rotor, not the braking surface but where it fits onto the hub. Any ideas, I checked the pads to make sure they were the right ones, and thats what it calls for?

The metal tab is a brake sensor designed to touch the rotor when the brake pads get below 2/32". They are to warn you that the brakes are about worn out. However, if the pads are new, they shouldn't touch unless they are bent. Check them closely to see if there is evidence of them being bent. If you can, bend them back so they don't tough until there is aprox 2/32" of brake pad left.

Let me know what you find.
