I own a 1993 ford escort, 1.9 liter single overhead. A few months ago, my car began to overheat. I can drive it for about 3/4 of a mile with no problems, then my temperature gauge starts to climb and pegs within a couple minutes. I bypassed the heater core. Problem persists. I replaced the thermostat. Problem persists. There is no oil in my coolant, no water in my oil. Refilled the radiator, ran it at idle for awhile. Radiator remains cold to the touch, no matter how long i run it or drive it. When i filled the radiator and started the car with the cap removed, coolant will bubble out of the radiator fill spout. My exhaust becomes white with steam, and i noticed some steam or smoke coming from my water pump area. Also, every time I go to check the level of my coolant, i have to fill it. There are no visible leaks anywhere (so where is it going?). Please help!!!
