Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Ford Escort 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 150k miles

Hello, replaced head gasket(coolant was in oil ) on my 1.8ltr dohc mazda made motor on my escort GT -didnt replace valve stemseals till after i had head back on (stupid)-also checked/ replaced bad lifters as needed -problem is the smoke at cold start --once warm it is pretty clear --after i shutdown motor -still hot -- there was oil in all 4 cylinders--later -when it cooled[img:e7daff4ae5]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/527399_IMG_4398_1.jpg[/img:e7daff4ae5]
the oil seemed to have leaked down - only thing i can think is that i didnt clean the valves properly -or maybe i dont know how to install valve stems right -the stems seemed to click in but i didnt push too hard --when i test drove it ran strong-with a little smoke -any help would be appreciated

If the oil is in the cylenders, then either the valve seals are not working or the valve stems are worn.
