I have an 02 ford escape 62k miles. 2 weeks ago it wouldnt start so i called a towing company to tow it. The tow truck guy gave it gas while trying to start it and it worked. Worked good for a week and then did it again. So i had to give it gas real hard to start it. I took it to a ford dealership and a mechanic said it was a idle valve sticking. how do i fix that?

Did they scanned it for OBD2 code/s if so we need it.

Clean out the idle air control and also the throttle body/plate. also won't hurt to check the coolant temperature sensor this is the one that tells the computer the engine is cold and needs fuel enrichment on initial start-up.
