Was quoted today $498.00 to Replace Two front struts Labor included.

Also they are giving a free brake flush $70 and airfilter $15....

however called around got quotes for $416.00 and

$440.00 ....$60 to $80 Difference.... so are they giving me a deal or ripoff...? Thanks Jim

Don't believe they are giving you "free" brake flush and air filter...they are charging you more for the repair and just saying that the other is free.. Should be more around $400 mark for front strut replacement..

Not really...they may just have higher labor prices then the other shops and maybe they are actually doing the other two services for free. The average labor cost is approx. $70 an hour and the labor required for your repairs is around 3.5 labor hours. So labor should come to around $250 then an additional $160 for parts which comes to around $400 'ish .. So perhaps they are just charging more than average, say $85 an hour, that would be around $300 for labor then add in the parts comes to around $470 ish.. Of coure you need to also check into what brand of parts the places are using as well. Goodyear is most likely using the manufacturer parts while the other shops you went to may be using cheaper replacement parts...
