Well Im a Jap Car type of guys, but when it came to my Business Fleet cars I when American Due to the fact that part are more available and cheaper. I first started off by getting a used Escape 05 6 3.0 XLT 83,100 it had on it. I have driven American cars and most of them drive like trucks, so at first I never give it any thought as to why the escape pick up so slow, until I purchased the second Escape. Escape 05 6 3.0 XLT 109,101.

After driving the second escape I knew something was wrong with the first one because the second escape drove more like my Mitsubishi nice and smooth. The bad thing about all this, Is that I fired one of my guys due to the fact that he had to gas up 3 times a week and I thought he was fueling up his car. (The first escape gets about 11mpg). I took it to the mechanic he looked at it and said I dont feel any difference and asked me to bring the other escape after he drop both cars he realize there is something wrong. There was no light on, everything seem to check out but after a sensor by sensor check, He plugged his computer and ran a test and the test give him a reading of the O2 sensor responding slowly and this maybe causing the cars computer to put more fuel and may explain why I was getting 11 mpg. I changed the O2 sensor yesterday and will be testing it this week, I would like to know if there is anyone having the same problem and if possible can you post what kind of MPG you are getting no matter what year you have. Thank you

I drive a Mitsubishi Endeavor LS AWD and I get about 17mpg mixed Hwy and City. At the current moment Im I drove 153 miles 93% of that was on hwy and my escape is very close to the E, I would say at about 15% left. This is not a good mix. The car has no problem no lights; no lights have ever turned on or anything. Any suggestions? I really dont think the O2 sensor was the problem and I dont think this will fix anything.

I would like to know your mpg, so I can see how close Im to the real mpg we are suppose to get. I dont drive crazy at all (right lane driver here), try to make sure the car doesnt pass 2000 RPM when accelerating.

If everyone here can post there cars manufacturing date, so at lease we can see if it was a batch of them with the same problem.
Escape 1 March 2004 (the one giving me problems)
Escape 2 April 2005 (working like a charm)

I really dont want to sell the car, as they have been doing really good beside this, but Im not willing to pay more then $2,000 to fix it. If it will cost more then 2gs I will rather put down other 5 and get me other used one.

Thank you
