How much is an oil pan? How does it get replaced?
My oil pan needs replacing and the mechanic estimated $ 500 in parts and labor. Can this be done cheaper or by myself? What tools do I need?

oil pan with gasket is around $120 and labor is around $125 so total should be approx., $245, may want to ask a few other shops for quotes.
