Electrical problem
2001 Ford Escape 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 62000 miles

The symptoms are the steering was difficult, the lights dimmed. When I turned the emergency flashers on, the interior lights also flashed. Prior to the car stalling the gauges all flashed and were moving irrationally.
When I tried to jump start the car, the battery would not take a charge and the car would not go into neutral.
