Hello. I have a 1989 Ford e 150 5.0L conversion van 110k miles. The other day when I closed the door it did not close tight. I then noticed a small piece of plastic broke that goes around the small metal bar that the door latch clips onto. I went to the auto parts store and they could not help me. I have included a picture. Please help me to tell me what this part is called, and where I can possible find it. The door now wont close flush and wobbles when I drive, and its driving me crazy!! Thanks in advance for your help and time. [img:914f71a59d]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/102803_000_0204_1.jpg[/img:914f71a59d]

There are two sources for you. The first is the dealer, have the last 8 digits of your VIN.

OR there is a junk yard.

Terminology is in the eyes of the beholder. I would understand door striker bushing. Probably comes with the striker.

Paul, That is way too funny,

I thought about e-bay but it seems like a small thing like that was a real long shop. I shoulda known better. I was just suggesting to another member to sell a part on E-bay right about the time I responded to you. There is a torx type of bit or wrench you'll need.
