1989 Ford E-Series Van V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

new to this van and need to know where the fuel filter is. looking on the internet, somewhere it said that you need a special tool to remove this. is this correct and where is it's location?

the filter should be under the van on the drivers side mounted to the rail, and yes you need a fuel line removel tool

I own a van of this type. the filter is right behind the high pressure pump on the rail drivers side. BUT you do not need to have speacil tool to remove the filter. If you are CAREFULL you can just use a flat head screwdriver to take off those clips. But most times the new filter will have new clips but be sure to save the old clips just to be safe. Ive done this LOTS of times
