2006 Ford Crown Victoria brake light

we changed the signal switch,also the light control

Ck for a broken wire in the trunk, may need to remove trunk liner(left side). Is there power from the brake light switch input wire and output wire? Poss. bad switch. I have seen the broken wire twice.
