Hello, I have a crown vic vin (P74) with the automatic climate control. when i am under acceleration and going up hill the air flow goes from floor or vent all the way to the Windshield defrost vents. As I let off the gas the airflow returns to the set outlet. I am smart enough to know that this system relys on vacuum to work but I cant figure out where to start. some one at ford said to look for a 1 way valve that resembles a flying saucer but i can not seem to locate it.

Have you checked everything under the dash? With the engine running, you may hear a hissing sound where it is leaking. As far as the one way valve, that won't cause this problem.
