i own a 1999 ford crown victoria p71. i cannot figure out where the ignition control module is. my cd manual is no help as it just keeps pointing me back to the pcm when i am looking for the location, i thought maybe it was near there but i was unable to find it.

Your car does not have an ignition module per say the module is integrated into the PCM (engine computer) the cause of your no spark is probably the crankshaft angle sensor is shorted out and needs to be replaced. When this sensor goes out it may or may not trigger a check engine light.

Here is a guide and some wiring and other diagrams for your car (Below)

This will give you an idea of what you are in for when doing the job.

Here is your car (below) Check out the coils wired to the PCM

Please let us know what you find. I'm interested to see what it is.
