96 Ford Contour Headlight Switch

I have a 1996 Ford Contour with 155, 000 miles (2.0L). I had to replace the headlight switch about 2 months ago because it burned out. When I was driving home toniight, the running lights/tail lights/dash lights went out again which I assume is the headlight switch yet again.

What would be causing this problem to keep repeating itself?

I just made an appointment with the local dealership to check it out in a few days. Is there anything else that could cause my tail lights, tag light and dash lights to go out? My headlights and brake lights work just fine. The last time this happened I replaced the headlight switch and it worked fine....I pulled it out today, and it doesn't look burned like the last time.
