I have a 1995 Ford contour, equipped with a 2.0 dual overhead cam 4 cylinder eng.with about 130,000
miles on it. Just recently I was cruising down the highway at about 60 mph. when my car cut off.. all attempts to restart the car failed , so I towed it home . After I got it home I did a compression test on all 4 cylinders, and found them all to be around 170 psi..no problems there.. I also found that my fan belt was missing.. after replacing the fan belt, the car still wouldnt start, so I made sure it was firing by placing a spare spark plug in each wire, and turning the engine over..The car is firing fine.. I also have heard the fuel pump come on as soon as I turn the ignition on. I am totally at my wits end, can someone please give me some advise.. any information will be apreciated ..
