While driving the car on occasion the moror will rev without pushing the accelulator. If i apply the clutch the motor will rev even higher. It dosnt happen all the time however when it does it is very ansafe to drive.

There may be a vacuum leak present that is raising the idle. Check your vacuum to see if it is in spec when the problem happens.
