Hi, I have a Contour SVT 2.5L DOHC SEFI. According to the Solus Pro Deepscan at my vocational im running a code for a misfire on cylinder 6. I was wondering if you had any suggestions. I notice that it only seems to miss when the engine is under heavy load. I have already checked the plug and plug wire which both came into specs. My next guess would be either the distirbuter cap or the injecter is running lean that the deepscan is not picking up. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check the no.6 compression and injector

Engine misfires can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
