1998 Ford Contour fuel pump release tabs

1998 Ford Contour 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The fuel tabs would not release from the the fuel pump flange to release the fuel lines.I broke the tabs trying to release them.
How do I repair?

If it is the type with the metal end and the metal tabs inside, then Ford sells replacement locking tabs that can be removed and replaced.
