I have a 1998 Ford Contour, today while traveling along the highway when attempting to accelerate to pass a truck there was no power behind the gas peddle. I was able to get to a parking lot where I replaced the plugs that were only a month old and also added dry gas hoping that i had water in the lines or something. AS i stated the plugs were only a month old as are the wires. The car will run but it skips horrible and sounds like it isnt firing on all 4 cylinders. It acts like it isnt getting gas, I can push the accelerator to the floor and the engine will rev a bit then die down and continue as such as long as I keep the peddle down. I can get the car to move but barely and it stalls alot. Best I was able to do was 20 MPH as you can imagine I had to get a tow truck to get home. Im at a loss as to what to do any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
