1996 Ford Contour cannot identify a part

an arm connected to the bottom of the wheel hub going toward the front, about a foot and a half long. the other end connects to the body. it looks and is located where a torsion bar would be, but theres no adjustment, its just a bar, but the bushing are worn causing a shaking and a metal on metal sound when hitting a bump. parts stores dont seem to carry any part fitting this.

Most places call that a strut rod. Your going to have to go to the dealer for that.

I'd be surprised if the bushings are even sold separately. You'll probably have to buy the whole rod.
