real stumper!!

1987 Ford Bronco, aboout 100,000 miles. Just had a remanufactured 4.9L long block put in my bronco. Now i have less power than before new engine. Shop that did the work said i had fuel problems so i replaced the in-tank fuel pump, the external fuel pump, the fuel filter, EGR valve, TPS sensor, Fuel Pressure regulator, ignition switch, MAP sensor. I still have NO power, cannot accelerate, when i hit gas i hear popping from throttle body area. Was told possible water in gas tank, 2 shops are unable to solve proble, PLEEEEEEZ help!!!!

It is not the tech it is the equipment. It never hurts to shop around.

I'm showing my age here but. My dad told me a story about a TV repairman (remember them). He came to the house and repaired the TV by turning 1 screw 1 turn. He then presented a bill for $50.00.
"$50.00 to turn 1 screw 1 turn, That's outrageous." The repairman then itemized the bill. $1.00 labor, $49.00 for knowing which screw to turn.

Check your fuel pressure regulator, should be part of your throttle body injector.
