1994 Ford Bronco clunking while driving

when i first press on the gas lightly i hear a couple clunks come from underneath in drive and reverse. i also hear it when im going slow over bumps and when i am going slow making turns could it be the u-joint in the drive shaft?
also i wanted to know if it would be ok to spray at the car wash with the hose underneath my truck cuz there is a little mud under there?

Hi there,

I would be checking the suspension and the drive line for this noise, and it will be fine to wash the bottom of the truck with the pressure hose, just check that you are not poking it into electrical connections.

thanks for the help but what are the major things i should look at on the drive line and suspension? im not sure what to check. im just a little worried about this cause the snow season started around here and my mom also uses the bronco when it snows. thank all on site! :)

Hi there ,

check the uni's for slop and also the flange on the diff, if a center bearing type shaft make sure that it is nit loose, (there will be a bit of give in the rubber mount) check rear transmission mount, and all the rear suspension bushes for excessive ware, if unsure get a mechanic to do this.

thank you. it was the rear transmission mount it was loose. should i replace the mount? or does this happen after so long the truck got 107000 miles on it
