1994 Bronco Exhaust smell

I have a 1994 Ford Bronco 5.0 with 170,000 miles on it. Whenever the vent, heater, defroster or AC is on there is a strong exhaust odor coming from the vents. I have checked the headers and pipes, and they seem fine. Any suggestions would be a huge help.

Get some help, jack up the vehicle and soak a rag with water. Hold it over the tailpipe and have your help check the whole exhaust system for leaks. With you blocking the tailpipe, if there are any leaks they'll be magnified and easier to spot. Let me know how it goes.
