I just replaced the thermostat and it is in the right way. On my way to work it ran in the normal most of the way. about 100 miles into the trip it started to run hotter. it would go from the o all the way to the l on the normal scale. while driving at speed it is fine, once you stop the temp begins to climb. i stopped to look under the hood and it was hot but did not seem like it was over heating. the gauge never went past the L. any clue to what the problem might be.
