Will I be at any risk if I leave the fuel vent line, the fume line, disconnected from the top of the tank? I am concerned about overloading the lines with pressure. The vent line did not appear to be connected when I removed the tank and replacing the tank and cover was exhausting. Now, obviously, my fuel lines are uncharged and I am considering clipping the vent line near its tank-end to facilitate my back yard restart. The fuel flow and return lines seem operational and I may have activated the inertia switch getting down from the ramp alone. My Bronco II is fuel injected.
Is it dangerous to operate a vehicle with a disconnected vent line?
