Can anyone tell me what is wrong? My Ford Bronco 1989 Automatic is stuck in first gear and I am unable to make heads or tales of it. It will not come out of first gear.

the gearshifter wont move out of first/ or it just wont shift out of first when the gear selector is placed in drive? can you shift 1st then second then overdrive? how about overdrive lockout.

may be a bad vehicle speed sensor.
