Takes several turns to start cold, when hot if off and and restart, starts great, if you turn it off and wait an hour, need to use starting fluid

This is a carbureted version for the 6 cylinder of that year. I have already replaced the mechanical fuel pump and fuel filter. I have also rebuilt the carburetor and timed within manufacturer specs. I have not compression tested, but believe engine is in good shape based on excellent oil pressure. This version does have a computer and several gadgets and vacuum accessories tied to the carburetor, once it is running it seems to run well, just want consistent starts.
