1977 Ford Bronco oil pressure guage

I put a 351W out of an 88 ford 150 in my 77 Bronco. when I started the engine there was no indication of oil pressure. My question is will the oil pressure guage out of the 88 work on my 77 instrumention? The oil pressure sending unit looks pretty similar, but Im not getting pressure indication. thanks

Check the actual oil pressure with a mechanical gauge this will tell you something whether its the oil pump or engine bearings to include the oil pressure switch.
