Traveling at 25mph drove onto a bridge that had a slight jump up (2") Lost all drive from transmission. Fluid full & clear, no burning smell. Shafts and CV joints appear OK. Running thru all gears, revs drop between N & D (so torque converter OK?). With both wheels jacked up in P turning L wheel, makes R wheel rotate opposite direction. In N rotate L wheel backwards turns R wheel forward. Turing L wheel forward, R wheel does not turn. So final drive (diff) should be OK? So is the problem in auto trans? Could I fix it myself? What could have broken from the sudden movement upward of both wheels at once? Shifter cable/ linkage is intact.

I can't think of anything that could have broken so easily in the transmission. Have you checked plugs from the TCM?
