1995 Ford Aerostar XLT 4.0l with 118,000 mi. The dashboard fuel gauge registers Empty most of the time. Occasionally, it will give a reading for a short period before returning to Empty. We had the fuel tank gauge and fuel pump replaced a few months ago. The problem still exists. Is there a way to test the dashboard gauge? Could there be an electrical short?
