94 Aerostar, 200k+ miles, 3.0L
Van has been running fine and all of a sudden yesterday about 10 minutes after parking it I notice a large puddle of antifreeze under the passenger door. It was leaking out at an extremely high rate.
First, I've never worked on vans (this one was given to me by my father), so I'm not even sure if I can access the water pump without removing the engine. Any info on how to access the area would be great.
Secondly, I'm not sure it is the water pump since the coolant all seemed to leak out at once. Would it be more likely that a hose has come undone or cracked open? Again, any info would be greatly appreciated.
