1995 Ford Aerostar starter and spark plugs

1995 Ford Aerostar 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The van is having some starting issues. Its not turning over. Would changing the spark plugs be an easy, low cost way to see if thats the issues then messing around with the starter. Is changing the spark plugs on this vehicle pretty simple? How would you do it?

Okay, if you're hearing the starter cranking, but the engine won't start, yes. Plugs are 1 possible cause.
- but there are several others.
If you don't hear anything when you turn the key, or just get a 'click', start by getting your battery tested. If it's okay, your next step would be to check connections and the starter itself.
If you ARE hearing the starter, but the engine won't start, we either aren't getting any fuel into the engine OR there is no spark present to ignite the fuel that's there....either of these can be diagnosed with some relatively inexpensive tools - and if you are going to diagnose and repair yourself, definitely pick up a service manual, like a Haynes or Chiltons. You will find alot more info than I can fit on this page. :)
