1991 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 220000 miles

I HAVE AN OIL LEAK BETWEEN MY MOTOR AND TRANMISSION,BUT I CAN'T TELL IF IT'S COMING FROM THE REAR MAIN SEAL,OR THE REAR OIL PAN
GASKET.IS THERE ANYWAY TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE?

mainly you should clean off all the oil with a rag then start the car and look to see where it is coming from, the oil could be coming from a differnent location and jjust leaking down there and collecting.
