stalling at Idle

Can you post the actual codes? Different mechanic might read the code different than you...

For the life of me I can't remember the codes I got, and unfortunately I am in Barrow Ak, and the car is in Fairbanks, so I can't go get em at this time... Sorry, I can add that it would start to stall almost immediately after start up, and sometimes the tach would fluctuate before stalling, I hope this helps, if not I'll just have to take it in somewhere, but don't really have the funds to do that... You may have a vacuum leak, get a can of spray gumout, spray the vac lines and maniflod area, when the idle changes, youve found the leak! You want the engine running and spray on the outside but do direct the stream onto the hoses, if it is a vacuum leak, the engine idle will change speed, then you have detected a leak, repair the vacuum leak and see how it runs! If that doesnt do it, you may need a new idle air control valve, it's bolted to the throttlebody

my car wants to stall every time im at a stop and the car is on drive but if i put the car in neutral at a stop, it seems to be ok. it also stalls when i turn the wheel to turn left or right. and at times when im at a stop, the car idol also seems to go up and down too... could this be a clogged fuel line?

More likely a problem with the Idle control system(throttle body on drive by wire) or a vacuum leak.Either one can make the idle unstable.Carefully spray around the intake area, especially where the PCV line hooks to the intake manifold (Ford has a problem with these) if the idle changes you have found a leak.Also try having someone hold throttle wide open (Key on-engine off) and clean the throttle bore around the butterfly with carb cleaner on a rag.This can also help stabilize the idle

Frankie sat in the car for a min listening to the radio and it completely died we tried to jump it and it didn't work we replaced the alternator it ran for about an hour and died again with no restart we checked the battery and it was bad so we replaced it. After that it started right up but when I backed it up and put it in drive it died..It will start but just dies now?

I just have to say I didn't think the throttle service would help but it was like tar in there and the car has never run better thank you so much.

All the gauges dropped off on my 02 ford focus, the car died shortly after. It will start but does the same thing.

Measure the battery voltage with the engine off and with it running and holler back. You may need a helper to keep the engine running long enough to get that measurement.

It starts but dies when foot goes from accelerator to brake to shift to drive. If I keep foot on gas and brake w/left foot keeping tac at 2 truck stays running. Also when truck dies there is a squishing sound that makes me think fuel pump.

Clean out the idle air control valve and EGR valve and see what happens

computer should compensate by raising engine speed but you can avoid this by NOT turning wheel completely to where it stops and wont go no further. you will know when this happens as you should hear noise from power steering pump like MAD HORNET nest!

Just to add, if the vehicle is stalling on tight turns, most likely you have an issue in the idle control system or even the throttle bore. I would suggest with cleaning the throttle bore to ensure enough air is coming in. If this is clean and it is still doing it, try unplugging the MAF sensor and drive it and see if it stops. If it does then the MAF is probably dirty. When you unplug it, the PCM operates off of a programmed calculation so it will stop looking at a dirty or faulty sensor.
