Brakes problem 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I changed rear brake pads and I tackled twist type brake calipers for the first time. During my hands on learning experience I removed the calipers from the car. After reinstalling and bleeding the calipers I discovered the emergency brakes were out of adjustment. When the parking brake is set then released the calipers don't release the rotors. In other words, the emergency brakes are stuck on. How do I adjust the emergency brakes?

Hello,

When you reset the calipers you need to wind them back in completely or they will lock up once the emergency brake is set. Also it could be one of the calipers is bad which happens when being reset. This is why they got away from this set up in future models.

Here is a guide that shows you what you are in for when changing the caliper with a diagram (below)

Please let us know what happens.
