Aftermarket fog lights installed and not working

I decided to put fog lights onto my vehicle that did not come with factory it has the extension for fog lights. So, I plugged it in then changed out my turn switch for one with a fog light setting for my make and model and put in a fuse for the fog light section in my fuse box. the light still won't come on. Am I missing something or is this a lost cause?
