I left my car into garage yesterday to get the flywheel and clutch done, when the job was done and I drove out of the garage. One mile down the road my timing belt went. Garage is saying it has nothing to do with them and I am wondering is there a link between the two jobs?

Hello, I am Danny.

Well, unfortunately they are not related. Timing belts are supposed to be replaced at 100,000 miles. They are subject to normal wear and tear and are subject to break at any time even under normal conditions. Hope no damage was done to the engine. I have attached a tutorial that explains the timing belts function. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.com. Danny-
