I drove through deep water lastnight. Made it home without any problems. Oil is good no bubbles and good color. Drove it this morning and was fine for about 5 to 10 minutes the start to slow down. Can back home before it got any worse. The air filter was wet but not completely soaked. But the check engine light is on now.

Good morning,

I need the code that is set to help you.

I would start by changing the fuel. You have vents and most likely water got into the fuel tank and is causing issues.

I would change the oil as well. Never assume it is okay with high water.

Tank draining requires tank removal

Fuel Tank Draining

1. Remove the fuel tank unit See: Fuel Pump > Removal and Replacement > Fuel Tank Unit Removal/Installation.

2. Using a hand pump, a hose, and a container suitable for fuel, draw the fuel from the fuel tank.

3. Reinstall the fuel tank unit.
