I have the vehicle listed above Canada model (they are slightly different than the US I heard).

I replaced my PCV air breather tube tube because it melted in half. The new tube has now been successfully replaced/installed.

Now I want to replace my PCV valve and I read that it's a fixed orifice PCV on the front of the engine. I have found it, but am wondering if I can pull it or twist it off with pliers or is it a permanent part of the valve cover?

Is the fixed orifice PCV something I can remove and clean or replace?

Any help is appreciated. I did find this article here but it is for the 3.6L, not the 3.5L.

I can provide a pic if necessary.

Good morning,

I would replace it. There are orifices that cannot be cleaned and it would not work correctly.

I attached pictures for the 3.5 for you to view of the replacement procedure.

Thank you for your help. That pic you sent is slightly different than what I am seeing, although I'm sure it's the same process.

Can you just replace the orifice or is it part of the cover? If you look at the pictures I have attached there is no rubber grommet between the cover and the orifice. I have attached two pics, one where is popped the fresh air tube off so you can see the whole orifice, and one with the tube on it.

If it is replaceable, is there a GM Part number for the orifice?

I believe it is replaceable. I would call the GM dealer parts department and attach those photos to them and they will tell you if you have to buy a valve cover or orifice.
