First, remove the distributor cap and make sure the distributor turns when the engine cranks. That will verify the timing belt is working.

I would check the compression to be sure the engine s good.

There is a distributor pick up coil in the distributor that is a very common failure for no spark.

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Remove splash shield and distributor cap by removing both distributor cap hold down screws.
2. Remove rotor from distributor shaft.
3. Remove Hall effect pick-up assembly.
4. When installing Hall effect assembly make sure pick-up leads are correctly routed to avoid damage.
5. Reinstall distributor rotor.
6. Reinstall distributor cap and splash shield.
7. Set timing, refer to Adjustments Procedures
