'Federal' ECM - 2WD vrs 4WD

Is there a difference in the programming ?
My Durango label: P/N P56040 330AB
Used replacement: P/N P56040 330AC

I read elsewhere that 2/4WD makes no difference.
Your advice is appreciated.

No. These PCMs have the same root part number. The 56040330 is the root number and the AC or AB is just the software level. So it starts life as AA and then every time the OEM makes a change or improvement they nic up the part number AB. Then AC, AD, AE and so on.

I attached the process to replace the PCM in case you need that.

Also, I attached the part numbers for your PCM and it appears the used PCM that you are looking at is the current software level so it should work just fine. Also, as you can see the CA PCM part number is 331AB. The 1 is what makes this a different PCM and that would not work in your vehicle as the emissions requirements are different. It may function but the vehicle would most likely run different and may set a DTC.
