I found a wiring diagram for your rig's fan in "Prodemand" (bottom of this answer)

Here's some info that might also aid you from 2carpros "Repair Guides" (found at the top right of our pages - I'll provide the link).

Check out the "engine cooling" section in this link.

Good morning

The coolant sensor sends a signal to the PCM for turning on the fans depending on the temperatures.

It is by the thermostat housing It is a two wire sensor that controls this operation. Some of them are located under the front of the intake manifold as well.

The 4.6 V8 doesn’t have electric fans, only a clutch fan. is that controlled by the temperature sensor as well?

If there are no wires to it, no. If there are wires to it, yes. They will be controlled by coolant temperature and the AC operation.

If no wires, it will be controlled the heat build-up under the hood. It has Freon inside the clutch to make it work.

Thank you for the information, I’m going to replace the sensor and looks like I might have to replace the clutch fan again as well. looks like some Freon oozed out of it.
